On May 12, NHSFFP was grateful to join nearly 50 Merrimack community members for a thoughtful conversation about property taxes and school funding in New Hampshire. The strong turnout reflected how deeply people care about these issues and the future of their community.
Throughout the evening, residents engaged in a productive discussion about the challenges facing public education funding, what rising property taxes mean for local communities, and how to balance strong schools with long-term affordability. One thing was especially clear: Merrimack takes tremendous pride in its public schools and recognizes them as an invaluable community asset that benefits students, families, local businesses, taxpayers, and residents alike.
We appreciated the many thoughtful questions and perspectives shared throughout the night and are thankful to everyone who participated in the conversation.
